Ok guys -- was suckered in an updated pygresql to 4.0 from 3.8. I'm running winxp, not entirly by choice. Python 2.5 and 3.0 Used the windows installer from the website for python 2.5 Import pg or import pgdb now generates the following error, "The ordinal 127 could not be located in the dynamic link library libpq.dll" I have libpq.dll version 8.0.3.5129 that was working with 3.8. Finding a working version of it is not a new problem, but previously I could find something that would work with google. Pgadmin has a libpq.dll that is much larger, but trying to use it starts a cascade of can't find xxx.dll when I tried putting it in system32 instead. Some of what I can find with google implies that libpq.dll should have been included with the installer, but if so I don't know how to root it out. Any notion of where I might find a proper version? This is of moderate urgency -- this broke my system. If at all feasable, please either include it with the installer, or at least a working pointer to a method of getting a good copy on the pygresql web site. Thanks in advance. Jim Hurlburt Yakima, WA
