hi, windows 8.1 64bit python 2.7 32bit gcc from cygwin 32bit
i'm trying to pip install pygresql on windows 8.1 and get an unable to find vcvarsall.var error. this happens when trying to install any python package that requires compilation but it used to work fine on windows 7 and below using gcc from cygwin. any idea what i can do about it? does this mean i need a compiler from microsoft to compile python modules? i assume i'll need "Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows Desktop" can anyone confirm or deny this? alternatively, is there a binary installer for pygresql? thanks, raf _______________________________________________ PyGreSQL mailing list [email protected] https://mail.vex.net/mailman/listinfo.cgi/pygresql
