I have never really considered writing one.  I found the current pyglade
module useful, and don't consider it a hack (it allows separation of
interface and functionality -- something that they are currently
attempting for mozilla).  I also see your point that a code generator has
its uses as well.

I haven't looked at what would be required for a source file generator,
but it should be able to reuse some of the code in the current pyglade
module.
