This makes things work for me.
I'm still not happy about the linking issues with Imlib, but I'm not
sure there's anything to be done about that until a new Imlib version
is available. If I set RTLD_GLOBAL when a .so module is loaded, I get
the expected behavior, but I'd really like to see that hack not be
needed. While I can work around it by setting RTLD_GLOBAL, this is
not very usable with "standard" installations, and I agree with
Guido's reasoning about why it should not normally be set.
