Dear Chris,
No, I haven't;
I suspect GnomeCanvasGroup's X & attribute modification code can be fixed
by having it call moveto internally, since moveto works. I've looked at the
GnomeCanvasGroup source code, and this actually looks pretty easy to do.
But to patch this and fix it, I'm going to need to...
* figure out how to change and then compile libgnomeui
* write a test case
* debug a shared library (libgnomeui, which houses the GnomeCanvasGroup)
* talk about the patch on [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* figure out how to submit an entry to bugzilla.gnome.org (extraordinarily
difficult) with the patch attached
At least, that is what the path looks like.
Perhaps I can make it less difficult by just going to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], (or [EMAIL PROTECTED]?), and suggest the
fix. Someone else will then be able to do something with it, or at least
give me some good advice to help the medicine go down.
As for the file selection; I haven't been interested enough to play with
it.
Right now, I'm working on a game (which will use GTK+).
It will use the GnomeCanvas for tiles, but they will never move, so it
won't be an issue.
I should have a projects page entry up in a little while.
Thank you for the feedback; It's good to know that someone thought it was
interesting/fun/useful.
I suspect that these pages will be most useful for people once the search
engines eat them up.
Take care,
Lion Kimbro {:)}=
