Sorry for the extra spam. I wonder if you by any chance (or any of the
users on the list?) use glibc-2.1. I think this bug (the lack of pthread
being linked causing SEGVs) is related to a glibc bug (can't find it right
now), as seen with PHP core dumping when linked with Oracle8i as a DSO.
I _think_ it's a glibc bug - let me know if you use 2.2.
Skip, do you use 2.1?
