[pygtk] menus and ctrl key combos

Hi,

How do I get the menus in a gnome app to save the users ctroll keys.
The ones that are set by the user pressing the CTRL or ALT key etc?  

At the moment my pygnome app is nopt saving them, I thought it was a gtk
thing but I guess not.
