Just tried it out on my system with Python 2.2 (final), and it didn't have any problems. Are you sure pygtk was compiled with the correct headers? (2.2 as opposed to some other version). I tried out the testgtk.py program without problems, as you did. Is there any more information you can give to help diagnose the problem?
