Some weird things are going on with the list. I never received your
response Bernhard and had to check the web archives. Oh well. If you
could respond directly until I'm receiving list mail again, that would
be great.
I finally figured out a while after the email that the only way to
really draw with XOR is to use a white background. What I'm trying
to do is build some abstractions so that I can encapsulate lines and
rectangles and things in objects so that they know how to delete
themselves (via member functions of course). I guess without XOR, the
best way to delete an object is to just draw over the object with the
background color, making it invisible..?
