Accordingly with the message below ( http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-db-list/2003-October/msg00013.html ) it should be easy to develop a set of bindings for the fantastic data-aware widgets provided by the gnome-db project.
I would like to urge the PyGTK community to devlop such a set of bindings because they would allow us to develop sophisticated data-centric applications with Python, GTK and PyGTK on Linux (and will free us from the long-standing dependence from M$ Windows and Access + Jet/SQL Server). So, please, supply us with a set of Python bindings for the gnome-db widgets (and the libgda, if meaningful). I would do it for the community, if I just was able... Many, many thanks in advance for your valuable work and your understanding. But it should be pretty easy for somebody that knows python to create them. The gnome-python project has a way to create those bindings almost automatically IIRC, so if you're interested, please talk to the gnome-python people and they'll tell you how to do them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- End of original message. ---------------------------------- Alessandro Bottoni [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ pygtk mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.daa.com.au/mailman/listinfo/pygtk Read the PyGTK FAQ: http://www.async.com.br/faq/pygtk/
