That's odd. I see other examples of people doing the same sort of thing
and having mixed results (for instance, a crash in
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=104396 and similar
here http://www.daa.com.au/pipermail/pygtk/2002-December/004067.html).
However, I think this might have something to do with a bug in libgnomeui
as described in the thread at
http://www.daa.com.au/pipermail/pygtk/2002-December/004067.html
Are you using recent versions of gnome-libs and gnome-python? Can you
try upgrading and reporting back if not?
