Dear all, I have been trying to come to grasps regarding a few issues regarding gnome ,python and nautilus and was hoping I could get some help. I have read the python bonobo tutorial but am still somewhat clueless as to achieve this.
What I need to be able to do is write an app that will allow for the addition of emblems to items (i.e. folder and file icons) in a nautilus window dynamically. So I could do something like nautilus-add-emblem /path/to/file --emblem=urgent I was told that this might be achieved by "be talking to the Nautilus metadata server using CORBA" as in this mailing list discussion, url is : http://mail.gnome.org/archives/nautilus-list/2001-October/msg00299.html .
