Hi It seems that the only way I can run the sample applet that comes with python-gnome is from the gnome-panel's menu. if I try to run the script as an executable it just hangs. I was wondering if there's a way I can write applet that would run from the command line (or maybe even writing an application that has an option of icon on the panel to indicate status, hide main window, etc...).
