Hello. I am having problems getting pygtk installed correctly. I am trying to compile some software, and pygtk is required for it to work. No matter how I try to install pygtk nothing seems to work. When I try to configure the software that requires pygtk I keep getting the following error:
checking Python bindings for gtk... configure: error: **** The python bindings for gtk 2.4 (pygtk2) could not be found. I am running a Slackware 10.0 box. I have tried many ways to install pygtk. ../configure also ../configure --prefix=/usr/lib/python2.3 also ../configure --prefix=/usr/bin/python also ../configure --prefix=/usr/include/python2.3 then of course the make & make install. Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to somehow make a link the the pygtk, or??? Any ideas would be great, as I have run into a wall. Many Thanks, Robert De Mars __________________________________________________________________ Switch to Netscape Internet Service.
