here's my full set of combobox convenience functions. I believe I've
talked about/posted these earlier with some discussion of their
limitations. Basically, this is a hack until gtk does what I want
with combos and makes them really easy to use from the keyboard (though
it may never...)
The major limitation is that the typeahead doesn't work once the widget
is popped up (I can't figure out how to get at events once that menu is
displayed from pygtk).
