What you're saying is: they don't care to provide workarounds for platform 
bugs? At least not where platform equals 'win32'?
I kinda expexted this too, actually. But shouldn't glib provide here the 
platform-independant layer to shield the application from this kind of crud?

I'll have a look at the bug / bugreport too.
