I am using pygtk on windows 2000 (GTK 2.6.7-rc1, pygtk 2.6.2). In it I am using the file selection dialog box. The dialog is coming up in Chinese. This is no doubt because I have code page 936 (Simplified Chinese) set as my default code page.
What I want is to have the UI in English while still using codepage 936 as the default code page (I need it for other apps). That is the equivalent to on linux setting LANG=en_AU.gb2312 and LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.gb2312.
