Thanks for your reply.
I simply need the *NAME *of th*e module/class *which handles this and
can it accept input of a file in bmp/jpg format.
This is not apparent from the docs,or at least not the version of the
docs I'm reading.
If you or someone could give me the *module/class * name it would be
appreciated.

matplotlib has an SVG output -- will this not work for you?
