I've been developing an application using Python/pygtk for reasons of portability and aesthetics (the widgets look way better than the Tk widgets do under Linux). But I've noticed that the versions of the available Windows binaries are more than a little out of date.
Well, pygtk-2.8 binaries are up-to-date as far as I know (2.8.6).
I don't have a C compiler for Windoze, so I can't really compile myself... I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to when the Windows binaries might catch up to the current versions... The newer versions have widget properties that I'd like to use. I have the same question for GTK, though I guess I'll have to ask that elsewhere.
I will upload pycairo-1.2, pygobject-2.12 and pygtk-2.10 later today, for both python 2.4 and 2.5, so stay tuned. But please note that GTK+-2.10 is not widely available for win32 yet, at least not from the major sites like gladewin32 or gimp for win32, so installation might not be as straightforward as with pygtk-2.8.
