I'm currently using Ubuntu, and i'm making a simple program to schedule a shutdown or a reboot at a certain time (just for learning pourposes..)
I realized that, in ubuntu at least, if I execute the command "shutdown -h now", the splash screen don't show immediately after the X closes, it only show the splash screen at the end of the shutdown process... now, if a run the shutdown through the gnome menu, it show the splash screen correctly...
anyone has any idea how to shutdown the computer the same way gnome does? so that the splash screen will show up corretly?
thx!!!
