Hi and thanks, yes, i know, that code is needed normally. As nearly anybody will know, who is able to get such a thing working.
However the spread sheet i made consumes more than 400 lines and there are dependencies not only on numpy and psyco but also on a .png for background tiling and a tool named WidgetFrame from me. Therefore i tried this fairly general question "Has any behavior like this seen before ?". I didn't want to be predatory and to ask for analysing such a large piece of code. And still i do not know whether to send these many lines as an attachment or directly (and the .png ?). Please tell me then, how i shall transmit the code, if you are still willing to shoulder this. I am quite happy with my sheet, even if the code is far from being mature. I'd also be quite happy, if someone else would find it useful too. But i see it as a half-baked substitute for doing this with C. Unfortunately i am too much disgusted by autoconf to do so. The side effects on gtk.Entry (or gtk.CellRenderer) around are the only sincere problem with my sheet and i would rather make an own version of Entry than abandoning with it (that would not be too difficult with pango.Layout.get_pixel_size() ).
