Keep them in a list, and draw all of them each time you do a refresh.

I don't know how you manage to draw 1 point only, it sounds like you do that 
directly, instead of 
the usual marking an area as 'dirty' with invalidate_rect(), and redrawing via 
the expose event 
callback.
