Sounds excellent, GNOME apps with Python plugins are being ported to use libpeas which in turn uses introspection. There's people already working on the port to GNOME 3 for those plugins, but pygobject doesn't build on Python 3 yet. We have patches but someone needs to update them, test and report back before they can be merged. Have just updated the ticket with a plan for moving forward: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=566641 I think there are several people interested in helping out, but we may need some coordination.
