I'll certainly tackle it at some point, I just can't say when I'll be able to find simultaneous time and enthusiasm for it. I'm not using Python 3 myself yet, so it's not one of my itches.
I'm not sure if it matters where it's hosted, but I would definitely be more inclined to contribute an occasional patch if PyGUI were in Git or Mercurial or something.
The problem is that I really don't enjoy working with any of the current generation of VCSes. They're incompatible with the way I like to work. I've tried it with Pyrex, and I find it adds a level of stress that I could do without. That tends to discourage me from using a VCS for any further projects.
