Ok, it seems to have gone away using
f.tk.call('encoding', 'system', 'utf-8')
for any top-level window f, just once before my first
keyboard
event; now I receive all keystrokes utf-8 coded,
before and after running pyinstaller.
I still don't know why Tkinter sets up a different
encoding when running interpreted and compiled, but I
guess I'll just leave it like this.
