I had seen the same problem with Fedora Core 7 AMD 64 bit
with a recent-ish svn version 442? but I just upgraded to
the latest 459 and it's fixed for me :)

Just to make sure which version (or SVN revision) were you
testing? We
just merged a large branch to trunk, and we are aware of
some
regressions with Ubuntu 64bit.
