Thanks for following up on this. After some more searching, I found that
this is fixed in changeset:704. For stability reasons (never change a
running system) I was using pyinstaller 1.3 for deployment, copying the
hook script from trunk fixed the problem.
Shouldn't this ticket be closed for the 1.4 milestone?
