I'm not trying to criticise the current infrastructure, but I can see
the value of having the project available on github (just for myself,
I want to be able to fork it and manage my own changes before
submitting them as patches).

I've made a version available on github
http://github.com/cleverplugs/pyinstaller,
and have set up a server to pull the changes from svn and push them
onto there (every ten minutes or so). It's not doing branches and tags
(yet - I couldn't make it work straightfowardly), but it's a start.
I'm slowly (other work keeps getting in my way) working on mac stuff
in a separate fork (http://github.com/red56/pyinstaller), but I will
submit anything worthwhile via a patch.

Just sharing this in case this is useful to anyone else.
