I'm afraid, this is not possible. PyInstaller is using Python's build in
mechanisms to find the modules and uses whatever these deliver.

Nevertheless it would be interesting why behaviour differs. Would you
please file an issue at github for this, so we can investigate it
somewhen? Thanks.
