I am trying to use pyinstaller to freeze Gaphor
<https://github.com/gaphor/gaphor>, which is a simple UML modeling tool
that uses GTK. To get it to run and freeze it in Windows, I am using
MSYS2. I am getting close, and I have submitted PR #4417
<https://github.com/pyinstaller/pyinstaller/pull/4417> to help fix some
issues I ran in to with detecting MSYS2 dll's. I am using the latest
develop version with the commits from this PR added.
The current status is that my app launches fine in windowed mode when I
launch it from the command prompt using `./dist/gaphor/gaphor.exe`, but
fails if I double click on the exe. It also works fine when double
clicking on the exe when it is not in windowed mode. In the Figuring Out
Why Your GUI Application Won't Start section of the docs, it recommends
rebuilding the application without the --windowed option, but when I do
this I don't get any errors.
Settings:
1. debug is True
2. upx is False
3. console is False
4. onedir setting
When I launch it by double clicking on the exe, I get Fatal error
detected: Failed to execute script pyiboot01_bootstrap. I did a search
for issues, and it looks like this is the same error as #4213
<https://github.com/pyinstaller/pyinstaller/issues/4213>, although I
think there could be many root causes for an app failing to launch.
Does anyone have some tips on how I could go about troubleshooting this?
