Sorry I have been inactive for 1.5 years I have to say I agree with CAR and
some others here. It remains so common to type the "www." crap and in
certain cases it beats typing "http://";. In addition a number of friendly
linking websites keep the "www." crap and I don't think anyone likes the
idea of breaking so many links.

Luke it is really important to keep a good strong point of leadership and
we know it is not an easy job for anyone. I think everyone appreciates the
job you have been doing to make the balance between trust & collaboration
and enforcing critical decisions. We also notice the high level of trust
that you extend to the user community.

I really hope we can come to agreement or compromise here. Ideally any link
starting with "www." crap should just go to the home page but would it be
an idea too redirect this to a special page that says "no www @#%^*"?
