Hi everyone, I've applied for an Open Source LIcense for PyCharm, a Python and Django IDE from JetBrains. They have granted that license, and as it stands the license is not only for me but for all Pyjamas contributors ("the project lead or a committer", as it says on their license info page [1]). As they say I'm free to pass on the license key to other contributors to the project. If you are interested drop me a line. (I think it would be unfair to post the key on the list publicly; we should be fair to them; I'll send the key to people that ask.)
[1] http://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/buy/buy.jsp#openSource I know this is non-free, monetarily zero-cost software (for the project) once again. Let me state one thing clearly: I am NOT affiliated to JetBrains whatsoever! I love trying out developement IDEs that make my coding a little faster and more fun (Goodbye Eclipse!), that's all, even if typically I still use vim, gedit, notepad++, or some other text editor - ideally a tool with syntax highlighting. Also, if there could be dedicated support for Pyjamas built in into that IDE, why not ask them, I thought. "Pyjamas" being mentioned as a supported technology in an IDE could be a major visibility and popularity booster. Let me know what you guys think -- and about the license.
