 well, it's the usual thing: big company, moves slowly, decisions have
to be made, contracts drawn up... and then the marketing dept wants
something done in 6-8 weeks that which can only be achieved *if* the
rest of the company had actually got its arse in gear at the time that
the person who said "hire this guy! now!" had actually listened...
like.... one, two, three or six months ago.

 in other words, the contract has gone silent because the person in
charge knows that it's not possible for the contract to be fulfilled
until the marketing team get a grip on reality.
