Compilation and installation went without a hitch - except for the difficult decisions about what to use - Qt 1 or Qt 2... Tomorrow I'm going to try out what happens with PyKDE when I compile PyQt for Qt 2.0, but tonight I going to work on my webserver, finally ;-).
