I followed your directions to get my pylons app running through
dispatch.fcgi. Everything started up nicely but I can't for the life of
me get SQLAlchemy to work.

I have the create_engine call in the app_globals module and the table
schema objects in a separate module that I include in my controllers.

This works fine with the paster server but when I use apache/fastCGI
the first time it tries to connect to the db i get:

'NoneType' object has no attribute 'connect' in sqlalchemy.pool:273.

I've tried moving the create_engine call in various places but to no
avail.

Any help on getting sqlalchemy working with this fastcgi setup would be
much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
