I installed pylons with easy_install without hassles. I started going through the tutorials/examples (esp. the blog) to set up a very basic test site. I'm pretty sure I got all the setup right.
So I start the server and navigate to http://localhost:5000/. First I see a completely blank, white page. When I hit reload the server dies without giving any reason or even the slightest hint, except for a nice new python.core file that shows up in the top-level project dir. Any idea how to debug this? I have never seen a Python core file before. I did some searching but couldn't find anything useful. I'm running Python 2.4.3 installed in $HOME. My test site doesn't use anything outside the Pylons package (*very basic*). I have successfully installed and set up TurboGears and Django in this env. Please let me know what further details might be helpful.
