Yayyyyyyyy! I was looking into this about a month and a half ago and was discouraged by what I found then. Thank you for the quick progress to a solution! Now I can have real UTF8 output instead of a bunch of question marks!
Unfortunately I'm in the process of moving out of my apartment and back into the dorms or I would be checking this out right now and trying it out in the project that I'm working on. As it is I'll have to wait for a week or two before I give it a try. Anyway, this is great to hear!
