THANKS!!!! These are very good Ideas. I will definitely note what you
have said. I'm sure that when you come back to this topic you will see
what I posted back to "owl". I basically described what I'm trying to
do. I have been looking for a way to give back to the open source
community (specifically the Python community) for a while now because
for at least 6 years I have used all types of open source software for
servers and desktop machines. I have been able to accomplish and learn
more through the open source community than I thought would be
possible. I think that the project I am working on can contribute back
to the Python community through education. I know that putting web
training is not a new Idea, But what I have in mind (At least my Ideas
for the future of this platform I am building) may make e-learning a
bit more interesting, engaging and fun.
If you also don't mid, I have a few questions for you that will help me
with my research.
Questions:
1. What has attracted you to web Frameworks (Python web frameworks
specifically)?
2. Has the documentation for the Various Python Web Frameworks been
helpful? How could they be better?
3. What specifically would you like to see on the web in terms of a
Training/Teaching module that would be helpful to understanding how to
use Python Web frame works? (ex: Screen casts, Pod cast Tutorials, Step
By Step Guidelines, More Example applications, ect ...)
4. Would it be beneficial if you could learn about Web frameworks with
someone in real-time over the web?
5. Do you enjoy learning more information about Python Web frameworks
at your own pace by working on the various tutorials?
6. What location is more convenient and comfortable for you to learn
new information?
A. The Web
B. In a class room
These are the same Questions I posed to owl in my reply back to him.
Any addition information you can give me would greatly help my
research. Also if you know of any one who is interested in learning
more about Python web Frameworks please let me know. I would also like
to get there feedback on these questions. I do have one more question
for you. Do you think that explaining my Graduate project and posting
these Questions in a Python discussion list (Specifically the General
python user List) might help me to get more feedback on these
questions?
Thanks for the feedback. It is much appreciated.
