This is a nice idea, James. Your proposed table of contents would have helped me in the beginning, trying to understand how Pylons works; it was only after (finally) going through most of SQLAlchemy's documentation to find out how it glues together with Pylons - I particularly point into the direction of the threadlocal plugin and "session vs. objectstore" issue, which others have already mentioned. Thanks for stepping up, this should help a lot of Pylons newcomers. I know writing documentation can often be a tedious task...
