pls disregard... i had turned off mem/dish cache in opera with no effect but setting "Check documents" to "Always" seems to fix it.

But with Opera, it works okay the first couple of times then I'm unable to signout. I noticed that the signout method in the controller is not even being called (which is why the cookie doesn't get deleted).
