Heh, that's exactly what I did too, with exactly the same results. It totally weirded me out for a while. It can be a misleading exception message if you don't zero in on the omitted first path component: "what.plugins.quickstart" vs "repoze.what.plugins.quickstart" --- which I didn't until mcdonc from #repoze pointed me in the right direction.
