Folks, See the official announcement here:
https://github.com/Pylons/pyramid/wiki/Chris-McDonough-to-join-Django-and-Alex-Gaynor-to-join-Pyramid Quoted: *Chris McDonough to join Django and Alex Gaynor to join Pyramid* Django and Pyramid Community, I'd like to announce yet another outcome of PyCon. More cooperation. The Django and Pylons Projects would like to announce the switch of maintainers in the spirit of coperation. Chris McDonough will join the core Django crew and Alex Gaynor the Pyramid project. This all really started at last DjangoCon with Chris being gracious invited to speak there. Post his presentation and at PyCon 2013, we had a small BOF (read drinks) and it was decided that both framewoks can benefit from how the other side implements things. To avoid confusion it was decided that Alex will now be a core lead of the Pylons project and Chris will in turn join the core Django team. First pass was done at PyCon 2013 with Alex volunteering at the Pyramid booth at PyCon :) ... and he did an awesome job!
