[pylucene-dev] Locked index

Turns out that the problem I was having with crashes when trying to use indexes appears to have been 
simply that the index was locked.  I seem to be able to replicate the problem by interrupting the 
indexing process.  After interruption, indexing or searching crashes... but after using Luke to 
force the index to unlock, everything works fine again.

Now I'm off to see how I can catch this error and then force an unlock from 
PyLucene...
