The benchmarks run fine on Mac OS X and PyLucene built with gcj 3.4.4 so it's most likely a compiler issue. Java Lucene 1.9.1 just got released for a serious bug fix (I quote). I'm planning on releasing PyLucene 1.9.1 from the Lucene_1_9_1 tag early next week at which point I should be next to a Windows machine with a newer gcj (3.4.4, I believe) and try a Windows build with it again.
