Thanks - that was it.

Because i had not issued a "make install" after the
make all, it was not really testing what i had just
created, I believe it was grabbing PyLucene from
site-packages still.

I should've paid more attention to sys.path.  Thank
you very much Andi.  Now i can finally try out the
similarity delegator stuff you added :)
