My thanks to Alexandre, Andi, Bill & all the others,
my excuses to the mailing list members for having stressed your inbox
with newbie questions -
I guess the fact is that, for us non-java-developers, the java setup
itself is the main difficulty
- the need to understand that if you have a JDK you also need a JRE
(my case), the fact that there is not one kind of Java (3 kinds on my
machine at this moment: icedtea, gcj, sun, ...), the fact that the
simple world of Makefile changed to the strange territories and forests
full of pythons & ants (... like Make, but without Make's wrinkles????)
Anyway, sorry for the rant and thank you again, everything solved &
installed thanks to you, to the install of Sun's JRE, and to the line:
'linux2': [ '-L/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_04/jre/lib/i386', '-ljava',
'-L/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-sun-1.6.0.04/lib/i386',
'-Wl,-rpath=/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_04/jre/lib/i386:/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-sun-1.6.0.04/lib/i386:/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-sun-1.6.0.04/lib/i386/client:/usr/java/jre1.6.0_04/lib/i386/client'],
now I guess I'll go to rest a bit...
