sorry for the crossposting, but I got no answer on the O mailing list.
I get the below mentioned error message running O since I have compiled
and installed PYMOL on a dual Opteron machine with a NVIDIA
Quadro FX 1100, running SuSE 9.3. After setting STEREO off
lin_ono works well. And also stereo mode of COOT stopped working ("This
computer seems not to be able to do hardware stereo").

What could have been changed by the PYMOL installation? Any advice would be
greatly appreciated.
