Hi, I have work a little with .obj file. I've written a script that translates OBJ file to PDB file. It is quite simple to make the opposite.
For more information on obj format, you can read this resume: http://www.fileformat.info/format/wavefrontobj/ You can also translate PyMOL CGO to OBJ file.
