I am running Fedora Core 5 on a Dell Inspiron 8600 running an ATI radeon video card. I had to update to fglrx to get pymol to even load because previous attempts said that the openGL GLX was missing. Now when I try to work in the PyMOL viewer window my screen goes black until I click outside of where the viewer window was. It is like my computer does not have enough power to render the PyMOL viewer as I move the molecule. Does anyone have any help or a way to use a different X server to view pymol?
