Fellow PyMOLers, A couple projects were recently brought to my attention that sound really interesting. They're essentially new ways to interface with PyMOL.
First, development has started for the Nintendo Wii remote to control & manipulate molecules. I got a chance to try it out and it was very cool. It's new code, but really neat to play around with. When do we get Guitar Hero PyMOL? :-) Hehe. Next, from the same lab, they've also developed a novel IR-headset that orients the PyMOL scene towards the user. As you walk around the room, the molecule reorients itself to follow you. That's cool! They even have a video. The PyMOLWiki link is -- http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/ImmersiveViz I also hear that the code will be available soon. -- Jason -- Jason Vertrees (javer...@{utmb,cs.dartmouth}.edu) Doctoral Candidate Biophysical, Structural & Computational Biology Program University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, Texas http://www.best.utmb.edu/ http://www.pymolwiki.org/
